Wash and brush up: Rider York’s 979 (SWW 304R) is washed and ready for more service at the Barbican Road depot of Rider York. This was the York - West Yorkshire garage. Rider York passed to First group along with the rest of Yorkshire Rider. First re-located the garage to an open air facility in James Street. This bus was new to West Yorkshire R.C. as their no.1979, it wasn’t originally a York bus.
